Dear Sir,
It is our pleasure to write you and hope this letter finds you in the best of your health. We want you to approve the Somali Diaspora participation as monitors and observers in the election process. And, we welcome working with you, your staff and the international community and consider to be an honor.
Therefore, we are volunteer group from Somali Diaspora of the US, UK, Canada and EU who decided to assist and to work with you, the federal government and regional states in the country's election. We know that, Somalia is the middle of the most heavily contested election in the country's history and we don't want to loose its credibility but to be free and fair to advance democracy, encourage political and promote peaceful transition.
Therefore, we want to volunteer doing the work for free as monitors and observers to assess the conduct of the entire electoral process on the basis of national legislation by visiting all regional states and Banaadir Region. Our mission will focus only to record and report to you anywhere throughout the country instances of suspicious practices or the manner in which votes are counted, electoral fraud and where protests were lodged by hopefuls of both legislatures with election officials etc.
Having said that, we would like you to schedule a meeting for appointment according to your convenience. We would like to discuss the partnership clauses with you in detail. Let us know the date and time of the meeting.
